Join Rivian as a Software Engineer II focusing on backend development for commercial technology. Help shape the systems that underpin customer purchasing and vehicle registrations with precision and scalability. In this role, you will contribute to Rivian's backend team, responsible for essential services related to tax calculations, title registrations, and order management workflows. You will design and maintain services, integrate with third-party partners, and implement jurisdiction-specific rules. This position works closely with various teams to ensure efficient, accurate processes as Rivian expands its reach across states and dealers. Key Responsibilities:
- Design backend services for tax, title, and registration systems
- Integrate with third-party partners and drive issue resolution
- Implement jurisdiction-specific rules for maintainability
- Support new dealer launches and vehicle programs
- Contribute clean code and participate in code reviews
- 2+ years in backend software engineering
- Proficient in Java (Spring Boot)
- Experience with REST APIs and third-party integration
- Familiarity with relational databases and messaging systems
- Strong attention to detail and ownership of work
