Sample management, LIMS transactions, and laboratory documentation define this Technician I role with Altasciences in Quebec. Training is provided for successful candidates.
The Technician I, Sample Management handles inventory, storage, service requests, disposal, and shipment preparation. Daily work includes analytical samples, study materials, biological matrices, critical reagents, and reference standards. You will follow SOPs, GLPs, GCPs, and company policies while supporting process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform LIMS and electronic inventory system transactions
- Receive, label, inventory, store, and dispose of materials
- Prepare samples and study materials for shipment
- Generate study material LIMS reports
- Maintain inventory, system updates, and basic tracking
Requirements:
- DEC in health sciences, laboratory technology, or related field
- Minimum six months of work experience
- Excellent French and English communication skills
- Access, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Watson LIMS knowledge
- Organizational, interpersonal, detail-oriented, and customer-focused abilities
Support regulated sample operations through careful inventory, LIMS, documentation, storage, and shipment preparation at Altasciences.
