*Position Summary* We're currently seeking skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operatorsto join our construction team. Ideal candidates will bring a *minimum of 2 years experience*, preferably within the civil construction sector, less experience will be considered. *About the Role* Reporting to the Superintendent and Site Foreman, the Heavy Equipment Operator will play a key role in civil utility installation including *storm, sewer, water, and shallow utilities*. This position involves the use of various equipment to support different stages of construction such as *excavation, grading, and site preparation*. *Key Duties and Responsibilities** Operate heavy equipment to support trenching, grading, and excavation activities * Perform daily inspections and maintenance checks on equipment * Assist in the installation of manholes, catch basins, and utility piping * Collaborate closely with ground crew and other operators to meet daily targets * Complete Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) and actively participate in site safety initiatives * Support the crew with manual labor when necessary (Rare Occurrence)*Requirements** Minimum 2 years' experience operating equipment in civil construction * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Valid driver's license and dependable transportation * Strong communication skills and ability to work well with ground staff * Willingness to work *extended hours*, including evenings and weekends on occasiuon * Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused Job Type: Full-time Pay: $36.00-$45.00 per hour Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Company events * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * English not required * French not required Schedule: * 10 hour shift * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday * Overtime Work Location: In person
