Canacre is hiring an Environmental Monitor to ensure compliance in energy projects located in London, Ontario. Your role will focus on environmental monitoring and daily construction inspections. As an Environmental Monitor at Canacre, you'll bring 5-7 years of experience to oversee environmental practices in energy development. This position requires a proactive approach to wildlife monitoring and erosion control, along with effective communication with construction personnel. Collaborate closely with teams to advocate for environmental integrity on-site. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections of construction activities
- Monitor wildlife and implement mitigation measures
- Direct soil handling activities for compliance
- Provide recommendations for erosion and sediment control
- Complete environmental compliance reports
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant field
- 5-7 years of experience in environmental roles
- Experience with wildlife monitoring and renewables is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid Driver's License and insurance compliance
