Strathmore Fire Department recruits paid-on-call firefighters who are paid for emergency response, training and fire prevention work. No prior firefighting experience is needed, and the department provides training and gear.
Pay: Hourly wage based on training and supervisory responsibilities (rate not posted)

Key requirements:
- Live or work in Strathmore
- At least 18 years old
- Valid Class 5 licence, own transportation and satisfactory driver's abstract
- Clean vulnerable sector criminal record check
- Excellent physical condition (physical tests or medical checks)
- Attend one weekly evening training session plus weekend courses as needed
