Join a collaborative Calgary-based insurance firm as a Commercial Underwriter, focusing on underwriting and enhancing broker relationships. This hybrid role offers ownership and growth opportunities. We are looking for an experienced Commercial Underwriter who thrives on building strong partnerships while managing the full underwriting process. Your skills in risk analysis and market evaluation will help lead the organization’s growth in the Commercial Property & Casualty sector. This is a chance to take initiative and shape underwriting practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite Commercial Property & Casualty risks, new and renewal
- Oversee the underwriting lifecycle from entry to ongoing management
- Evaluate risks with effective analytics and tools
- Collaborate to resolve broker issues and foster relationships
- Keep abreast of market trends for strategy development
- At least 3 years of Commercial Property & Casualty underwriting
- Sound judgment and knowledge in underwriting
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
