Become a vital part of Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care as a General Psychiatrist in Penetanguishene, Ontario. This role combines inpatient psychiatric care with the flexibility of a hybrid work model. We seek a psychiatrist committed to clinical excellence and teamwork. You will collaborate with a robust interdisciplinary team to deliver ongoing care and ensure comprehensive assessments for patients. Additionally, this position comes with opportunities for academic involvement at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quality psychiatric care to inpatients
- Act as Most Responsible Physician for treatment processes
- Conduct thorough assessments and manage patient discharges
- Ensure compliance with documentation protocols
- Collaborate within a collegial team of psychiatrists
- Licensed for independent medical practice in Ontario
- Fellowship in Psychiatry from a recognized institution
- Commitment to academic culture and teamwork
- Qualification for academic appointment at University of Toronto
- Preference for bilingual candidates in French/English
