Senior Business Systems Analyst – Core Banking Location: Hybrid - 2 days a week downtown Toronto About the Role We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong experience in core banking products such as deposits, GICs, savings, registered products, credit cards, loans, lines of credit, and payments. This role is critical in supporting major transformation projects and new builds within a dynamic, Agile environment. Key Responsibilities Write technical requirements, solution requirements, and user stories for initiatives including: Cloud migration API integrations Single sign-on (SSO) Security and access entitlements Collaborate closely with solution architects, developers, and UI/UX designers to document and clarify technical solutions and data flows between applications. Work within Agile frameworks, actively participating in ceremonies and using tools like Confluence and JIRA. Support project estimation by providing effort and time allocation for multiple concurrent projects. Participate in technical interviews and provide feedback on candidate fit for the team. Technical Skills Strong understanding of APIs, cloud technologies (Azure preferred), and solution design tools (Swagger, Figma). Experience with core banking systems and products is highly preferred. Familiarity with Java development environments; SQL knowledge is a plus. Certifications Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe) are an asset. Azure certification is highly valued. Personal Attributes Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams. Collaborative team player with a willingness to learn new domains. Other Preferences Prior experience with core banking environments is a strong asset. References from previous managers will be requested post-interview.
