Js and TypeScript at Instant Risk Coverage, working hybrid three days weekly in downtown Toronto. Build integration surfaces for insurance partners and customers.
As a Senior Core Platform Engineer, you will shape IRC’s technical foundations and platform architecture. Your work spans REST, GraphQL, webhooks, event-driven interfaces, and relational databases. You will help evolve an intelligent insurance operating system used by more than 500 venue groups.
Key Responsibilities
Build RESTful APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, and event-driven interfacesOwn service boundaries, data modelling, API contracts, and foundational patternsEstablish backend standards for testing, errors, APIs, and service designLead architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineer mentoringCommunicate pragmatic engineering trade-offs across platform decisionsRequirements:
Six to ten years of backend software engineering experienceDeep production expertise with Node.
Js and TypeScriptStrong command of REST, GraphQL, webhooks, and event-driven architectureSolid relational database knowledge, preferably PostgreSQLAbility to own architecture and set technical directionBring platform engineering judgment, API expertise, and backend leadership to Instant Risk Coverage’s growing insurance technology foundation.
