What is the Opportunity?
As part of an alliance agreement, Aecon has been awarded a contract in an Aecon-led partnership with Kiewit Nuclear Canada by Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for the execution phase on the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP) in Clarington, Ontario. Beginning in 2025 Aecon will support the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site. Reporting to the Site Services Manager this role will support the overall management of the DNNP Site.
During the readiness phase the Superintendent will assist in construction planning, reviews, and fit for purpose tool development. In execution they will be responsible for the supervision, coordination and scheduling of construction activities for multiple scopes of work in compliance with the contract and the job cost estimate and ensure all the work is completed safely to acceptable standards of quality and workmanship.
What You'll Do Here
- Accountable for work planning and execution on the project including methods of construction, manpower levels, materials, tools & equipment, rentals and work schedules.
- Ensure alignment and partnering with the alliance partners.
- Monitor and review Plans/Schedules and identify risks, and issues
- Utilize project master schedule to create detailed look ahead schedules.
- Schedule 3-week, 6-week, and 12-week tasks.
- Contribute to long-term site planning and site logistics.
