Embark on a remote co-op as a Data Engineer with CMPA, focusing on transforming medical-legal data into AI-ready datasets essential for high-quality AI development. This co-op program invites students from relevant fields to directly contribute to the AI & Advanced Analytics team. Your work will shape the usage of substantial medical-legal data through normalization, governance, and documentation processes. This role emphasizes hands-on experience in Python development and alignment with privacy and security regulations for healthcare data. Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and structure raw medical-legal text for AI processing
- Define and apply criteria for dataset AI-readiness
- Develop Python scripts for data handling and validation
- Maintain evaluation/test sets for performance benchmarks
- Document data preparation standards and quality issues
- Enrolled in Computer Science or related co-op program
- Proficient in Python; experience with data libraries is preferred
- Familiarity with NLP concepts and data processing methods
- Strong attention to detail in handling sensitive data
- Ability to collaborate remotely with diverse teams
