Calgary-based Hardware Engineer specializing in electronics and instrumentation supports products on-site with a small engineering team. Apply technical troubleshooting and complex PCB layout expertise.
This hands-on, non-managerial Hardware Engineer role supports a primarily hardware-focused product portfolio. You will design instrumentation and electronics products, including nodes, charging racks, communication interfaces, and USB connectivity. The work includes customer-facing technical support, new product development, and a large instrumentation project using radio and wireless technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop hardware components
- Perform complex PCB layout work
- Conduct technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Support hardware products and related accessories
- Present technical findings clearly
Requirements:
- Five or more years of hardware engineering experience
- Strong electronics and instrumentation fundamentals
- Structured root cause analysis for field-electronics issues
- Customer-facing technical support experience
- Clear technical communication and presentation skills
