As a Platform Engineer on Infrastructure, you will share responsibility for Rootly’s cloud infrastructure and platform reliability. You will contribute across AWS, Terraform, Datadog, CI/CD, datastores, and security, while building depth across the platform. The work supports Rootly’s incident management platform used by NVIDIA, DoorDash, Uber, Canva, Tripadvisor, and Squarespace.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Rootly’s AWS infrastructure as codeBuild credential rotation for databases, Redis, and application secretsTune alerting around customer impact and observability spendParticipate in multi-region failover drillsWrite runbooks, documentation, and lasting platform fixesRequirements:
Three or more years building or running production systemsHands-on AWS and Terraform or OpenTofu experienceMonitoring and alerting experience with Datadog or similarProduction on-call and incident response experienceAbility to write code for infrastructure problemsBring AWS, Terraform, observability, and incident response experience to Rootly’s infrastructure platform and reliability work.
