Bylaw Inspector at City of Coquitlam

Become a Bylaw Inspector with the City of Coquitlam, where you'll promote bylaw compliance and protect community standards. Engage directly with the public through inspections, education, and enforcement actions across the city. In this full-time role, you will be a uniformed ambassador ensuring adherence to municipal bylaws. Your tasks will include responding to complaints, conducting thorough inspections, and monitoring various bylaw infractions. You will educate the public on bylaw regulations and facilitate compliance, maintaining detailed records and reports as required. Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to community bylaw complaints swiftly
• Conduct inspections for municipal bylaw adherence
• Facilitate public education on regulations
• Collect evidence and document interactions
• Attend adjudication hearings as needed

• Diploma in social sciences or related field
• Experience in regulatory enforcement desired
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence required
• Completion of JIBC Bylaw Enforcement Level 1 and 2
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
