Lead transformations in Continuous Improvement at GATX railcar repair facility in Moose Jaw. This pivotal role focuses on Lean methodologies and data-driven problem-solving to enhance Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. As the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will champion CI efforts and apply your expertise in problem-solving and operations management. With a strong background in Lean methods, you will develop strategies to assess business opportunities and enhance facility performance. This role truly impacts GATX's operations and fosters a culture of improvement within the team. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and strategize business opportunities for improvement
- Evaluate industrial facilities for optimization potentials
- Lead Daily Visual Management initiatives across work centers
- Analyze production costs and eliminate wasteful processes
- Design and conduct time studies for process efficiency
- Master’s degree in operations or related field
- Minimum 5 years in analytical role or facility management
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification preferred
- Proficient in machine learning and data visualization tools
- Experience in regulated environments and change management
