ERP-One Consulting is looking for a Senior Technical Consultant (JDE E1 CNC), for a full-time remote employee role located in Canada. About the role The Senior Technical Consultant will provide senior level technical expertise on consulting and managed services projects and serve as an escalation point for team members. The Senior Technical Consultant will work with other team members, partners and vendors to find solutions to client issues. This role requires someone who is a self-starter, capable of working independently, and who is driven to solve issues, and improve the client experience. This role reports into the Delivery Manager, is a remote role, and must be based in Canada. Infrequent travel is a requirement for occasional team building and client projects. Responsibilities Support, Solutioning, and Consulting: Provide support to customers as part of our technical consulting team, including tools and code current release upgrades, system upgrades, environment refreshes, and resolving complex CNC-related issues. Collaborate with DBAs to ensure seamless integration and performance of ERP environments, particularly during upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting. Perform technical troubleshooting at all layers of ERP Systems, middleware and operating systems including root cause analysis, reviewing log reports, and providing recommendations for resolving issues. Support varying versions of ERP tools, OMW, UDOs, BSSV, AIS and orchestrator. Provide senior-level cross-application knowledge (E1, World, ReportsNow DAS, Oracle Cloud applications, and other supported applications). Provide guidance to clients on solutions and architecture, understanding their pain points, technical landscape, and goals. Drive continuous improvement in CNC processes, tools, and methodologies. Develop and maintain technical documentation for processes and system configurations. Serve as a technical escalation point, provide mentoring to team members, share best practices, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. Managed Services Support: Support managed services clients including incident resolution, enhancement requests, and routine maintenance. Meet or exceeding service level agreements (SLAs) through proactive monitoring, prioritization, and stakeholder communication. Project Delivery and Client Collaboration: Lead and manage multiple technical/CNC-related projects ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction. Partner with cross-functional teams including functional and security consultants, developers, and business stakeholders to assess issues, identify opportunities, and implement solutions aligned with best practices and available technologies. Provide training and presentations to clients, empowering them on security awareness and system usage. Contribute to ERP-One's success through sales support: Stay well-informed of the latest developments in Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Oracle Cloud, other supported applications and related technologies. Analyze client needs and business processes to understand client business goals. Participate in pre-sales conversations to assess technical fit and suggest possible approaches. Translate client needs into ERP solutions using the SEDA (Scope, Effort, Deliverables, Assumptions) framework. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth handoff from sales to delivery. Conduct and support technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept initiatives using appropriate tools and methodologies. Develop and deliver product features/enhancements training, whitepapers, and presentations. Experience and Qualifications Must haves: Minimum 10 years' experience in JD Edwards as a CNC implementing, upgrading, and supporting client projects and providing day-to-day operational support. Expert EnterpriseOne technical knowledge and experience supporting: Middleware layers including WebSphere, WebLogic, operating systems including Windows, iSeries, Linux/AIX/UNIX, Databases including MSSQL and Oracle DB, JAS, AIS, BSSV, OVR, UDOs, BI Publisher, 21CFR11, LDAP & SSO technologies, E1 Development issues (Reports, Forms, BSFNs, BSSV) Relevant post-secondary education in computer science, information systems, technology, business, or a related field. Minimum 5 years' JDE consulting experience. Nice to haves: Experience supporting E1 RTE and ADF Experience supporting common E1 peripheral applications such as RevSoft products, Autom8, ReportsNow DAS, Vertex, and DSI Experience in Oracle Cloud infrastructure, Oracle Database, or and Linux platforms Skills and competencies that will lead to success in this role: Excellent customer service and communication skills Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks Strong interpersonal and listening skills to fully understand client issues to build effective solutions Excellent problem-solving skills to think critically and make informed decisions quickly to address client challenges Proactive and adaptable to changing client needs and technology updates Keen interest in learning and using new technology available in JD Edwards, Oracle, and peripheral applications Ability to work comfortably from home-based office with minimal oversight or management Ability to work comfortably from home-based office with minimal oversight or management Solid Microsoft 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) Working Conditions: This position requires long periods of sitting or standing while working on a computer. This position requires mental focus and can be moderately stressful at times due to the deadline driven nature of the work. This position requires ad hoc off-hours escalation support and scheduled on-call support may be required.
