Provost, AB Full-time, Temporary Salary not specified Buffalo Trail Public Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant at Provost Public School in Provost, Alberta. End date: To be determined Schedule: 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, following the school calendar Type: Temporary, full-time Responsibilities Provide educational support, prepare and adapt learning materials, and monitor student progress. Support students' academic, social, behavioural, and life skills, including transitions and use of specialized supports. Assist with personal care, including feeding, hygiene, and toileting. Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional activities. Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams, share relevant student information, and contribute to meetings as appropriate. Administer medication as required and follow health and safety guidelines. Qualifications A diploma in a Childhood or Educational Assistant program is preferred. Experience supporting people with special needs is desired. Familiarity with language delays, behavioural challenges, emotional dysregulation, and fine or gross motor delays is beneficial. SIVA or other non-violent crisis intervention training is an asset.
