ThePatient Coordinator is responsible for managing the patient experience withinthe healthcare practice, ensuring efficient scheduling, communication, andsupport throughout the patient journey.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Serve as the primary pointof contact for patients, addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Coordinate patientappointments, including scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups.
- Assist patients withregistration and insurance verification processes.
- Collaborate with clinicalstaff to facilitate smooth patient flow and communication.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensureconfidentiality.
Requirements
- High school diploma orequivalent; Associate's degree in healthcare administration or relatedfield preferred.
- Experience in a patient-facingrole within a healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal andcommunication skills.
- Proficient in practicemanagement software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
