Operate heavy equipment at Coeur Silvertip in Northern British Columbia, using pre operational checks, safe procedures, and equipment monitoring.
The Heavy Equipment Operator supports surface operations at the Silvertip Operation on a two week in, two week out rotation. Duties include operating tankers, dozers, loaders, graders, excavators, trucks, cranes, and related mine equipment. The position also involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete pre operational equipment checks before operating machinery
- Operate varied heavy equipment for earth moving operations
- Load and transport dirt and waste products
- Perform fluid changes, filter changes, and lubrication
- Complete operator reports and daily logbooks
Requirements:
- Experience operating varied equipment, including bobcats and zoom booms
- Red Seal journeyman ticket in an accepted trade
- Building maintenance experience is required
- Experience repairing gas burning appliances is required
- Physical fitness and remote camp availability
