Support Métis culture and early learning experiences across Alberta through coordination, facilitation, and respectful community engagement. The position is based in Edmonton and requires travel.
Within the Children and Family Services Early Learning Program, this full-time permanent coordinator supports culturally grounded programming. The work connects internal teams, Métis families, Elders, Knowledge Holders, communities, and external partners. Strong communication, conflict resolution, and program evaluation skills support responsive delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate Métis culture, traditions, and land-based knowledge
- Facilitate safe, respectful, culturally appropriate program delivery
- Identify programming improvements and innovative approaches
- Maintain positive community and partner relationships
- Provide reports and recommendations to the supervisor
Requirements:
- Culturally responsive, compassionate, and respectful approach
- Strong facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database applications
- Police Information, Vulnerable Sector, and Intervention Record Checks
Use facilitation, communication, and Métis cultural knowledge to support community-informed early learning programs across Alberta.
