The Autobody Prepper prepares truck bodies and components for painting by completing surface preparation, masking, caulking, and undercoating. This role ensures surfaces are clean, properly finished, and ready for paint application, supporting a durable, high-quality finish. Working closely with the paint and production teams, the Autobody Prepper follows work instructions, meets production deadlines, and maintains a safe and organized work area. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, minor bodywork, applying fillers, and masking surfaces asrequired. Accurately mask and protect vehicle areas using tape, paper, and plastic to prevent overspray. Maintain a clean and organized work area; perform routine shop housekeeping. Report any issues that mayimpactquality or timelines to management. Safelyoperateand maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Follow all safety procedures and consistently wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators. Comply withall applicable regulations related to paints, solvents, and hazardous materials. Support team operations andassistwithadditionaltasks as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS ~ High School Diploma ~ Apprenticeship an asset ~1-3+ years of related employment experienceis abonus, butnotrequired. Experience in autobodyprepping COMPETENCIES& SKILLS Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment Demonstrate willingness to work with others to achieve common goals Strong attention to detail WORKINGCONDITIONS ~ Safetysensitive.
