In this position, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will maintain mechanical systems essential for production at Gerdau Long Steel North America. The ideal candidate possesses an Industrial Mechanic certification and is familiar with hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing environment. Your work will support continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and adjust mechanical systems in the plant
- Repair and maintain pumps, motors, and turbines
- Determine optimal repair methods to reduce downtime
- Provide immediate recommendations for equipment safety
- Handle mobile equipment and crane operations
- Valid Certificate of Qualification in Industrial Mechanics
- Experience in heavy manufacturing contexts
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer experience required
- Willingness to work rotating shifts
