Intern Teacher

Support reading improvement efforts in Kindergarten to Grade 3 classrooms at assigned schools through regularly planned visits
Co-plan and co-teach with classroom teachers around the consistent and intentional implementation of scientific, evidence-based literacy instruction
Develop reading units and lessons in collaboration with classroom teachers
Support the implementation of early reading screening tools to ensure students with reading difficulties are identified early and supported in the classroom
Support classroom teachers to apply technology-enhanced learning opportunities that account for the global competencies
Other tasks as assigned by the Superintendent of Education: Training in providing direct Tier 2 and Tier 3 reading interventions
Successful implementation of school or board technology projects
