Support French Immersion students across Edmonton Catholic Schools using French fluency, classroom assistance, and responsive student care. Casual day-to-day assignments are available throughout Division schools and sites.
Edmonton Catholic Schools seeks Educational Assistants enrolled in the PPCEP Programme de perfectionnement des compétences et de l'expérience pour francophones et nouveaux arrivants through Campus Saint Jean. Successful candidates support student socialization, communication, and behavior within multidisciplinary teams. Applications are accepted for the 2025/2026 French Immersion program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with planning and implementing student programs
- Organize classroom materials, activities, equipment, and programs
- Implement developmental strategies with multidisciplinary teams
- Support behavior management and student development
- Provide personal and physical care as needed
Requirements:
- Fluency in French across listening, reading, speaking, and writing
- Relevant education and one year directly related experience
- Knowledge of intervention techniques, first aid, and CPR
- English oral and written communication skills
- Ability to travel to Edmonton sites
