Join Baycrest Hospital as a Part-Time Kitchen Helper and support quality nutritional care for seniors. This role involves dishwashing, meal delivery, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. In this permanent part-time position, you'll be part of the Food and Nutrition Services Department. Your responsibilities include delivering meal trays, washing dishes, and ensuring a safe, clean kitchen environment in compliance with safety standards. You'll also interact with patients and staff, using effective communication skills in a vital role that enhances the dining experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and wash dishes as required
- Scrub and clean pots and pans thoroughly
- Dispose of trash and manage kitchen garbage
- Deliver and pick up patient meal trays efficiently
- Adhere to hygiene and safety standards rigorously
- High school completion or equivalent education
- Current Food Handlers Certification required
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Experience working with the elderly is an asset
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
