Senior Accountant Employment Type Permanent Location Bolton, Ontario Apply SHARE THIS JOB Job Description: Our client, is an extremely fast-growing publicly traded transportation and logistics company who is looking for a new Senior Accountant to add to their growing finance team.
It will be a wide-ranging position focused on mostly on developing your technical accounting skills in the full cycle accounting process.
The office is located in Bolton and you will need to be in office 4-5 days per week.
The role will pay in the 80 K-95k range plus bonus and share matching.
The Senior Accountant will oversee key areas of general accounting, including account reconciliations, tax compliance reporting, consolidation, month-end close, and general ledger maintenance. In this dynamic role, they will also lead the preparation of timely and accurate management and operational financial reports, while contributing to special projects and supporting broader financial operations across the organization. Responsible for full cycle accounting duties, including but not limited to recording journal entries, reconciling key accounts, financial statement preparation and analysis, audit preparation with external and internal auditors, etc.
Preparing HST returns and coordinating remittance payments for WSIB and corporate taxes.
Reviewing and recording expense reports in the general ledger and resolving discrepancies.
Ad-hoc administrative duties including filing, and handling customer/vendor inquiries. CPA designation or in pursuit of such designation.
Previous experience in supply chain logistics environment or has worked in an accounting firm preferred.
