Become a vital contributor as a Junior Electrical Designer at Johnson Electric in Ancaster, Ontario. Focus on designing electrical control systems for advanced manufacturing equipment and assembly lines while working in a full-time capacity. This role offers an opportunity to assist in the design and development of electrical control systems under the guidance of experienced professionals. You will create electrical schematics, bills of materials, and ensure compliance with Canadian electrical safety standards, along with gaining hands-on experience in industrial automation technologies. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating electrical control system designs
- Generate electrical schematics with EPLAN software
- Prepare BOMs, wire lists, and panel layouts
- Support machine safety assessments and safeguarding measures
- Participate in equipment commissioning and troubleshooting activities
- College diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related
- 0-3 years of electrical design experience in automation
- Familiarity with EPLAN or similar CAD software
- Basic understanding of PLCs and industrial controls
- Knowledge of machine safety principles is an asset
