Become a key player in a fashion-oriented company as a Fit Technician, focused on achieving the ideal fit and construction standards in your apparel lines. Your technical skills will ensure products meet the necessary quality and design expectations. In this position, reporting to the Director of Technical Design, you'll manage the fitting and technical development process from sample creation to final production. Collaborating with Design and Product Development teams will be crucial to successfully transitioning creative ideas into market-ready garments. Strong expertise in garment fitting and attention to detail are vital for this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed fitting assessments and recommendations
- Partner with Design to ensure accurate fit execution
- Establish fit standards and document them thoroughly
- Monitor garments at each development phase
- Create and update essential technical documentation
- Minimum 5 years in the apparel sector
- Relevant post-secondary education
- Knowledge of garment construction and patterning
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and pattern-making software
- Fluent in English or French for stakeholder engagement
