Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications Communicate changes, enhancements, user requirements, modifications, and business requirements – verbally or through written documentation – to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support Track and document the problem-solving process, including all decisions made and action taken, through to final resolution Work with vendors and 3rd parties to resolve hardware, networking, and software issues Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization Ensures application and process security risks are identified and proactively analyzed with internal IT counterparts with engagement of 3rd party partners, where applicable Conduct research on software and hardware products to support recommendations and purchasing efforts
Excellent oral and written communication Strong computer literacy
- Must be advanced with Microsoft Excel and intermediate with other Microsoft Office programs Strong analytical skills with a strong ability to manage, analyze and interpret data Ability to work independently Post-secondary certificate or diploma preferred, with a focus in business or data analytics Experience with coding and data analytics tools, including SQL, Power Query, Power BI, Microsoft Access, and JD Edwards Experience supporting change management and process improvement initiatives; experience with ADDS Energy would be considered an asset Diversity and Inclusion Irving Oil is committed to supporting a diverse and inclusive work environment.
