Support personal care and homemaker services for clients in their residences as a Personal Care Assistant, helping preserve daily routines.
The Personal Care Assistant follows an established plan of care while providing personal care, companionship, homemaking, and medication assistance. Services include bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility support, meal assistance, household tasks, and respite services. The position supports clients who remain in their residence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
- Support ambulation, transfers, positioning, and assistive equipment use
- Provide companionship and respite services for families
- Complete cleaning, laundry, dishes, and bed linen changes
- Assist with client self-administered medications
Requirements:
- High school graduation or equivalent certificate
- Passing score on the PCA skills test
- Passing score on the DEARS test
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Valid driver's license and insured automobile or adequate transportation
