As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will support physician compensation through accurate healthcare administration. Enter and review claims, apply diagnostic and procedure codes, and maintain billing documentation. Petal’s Medcom division brings more than 30 years of British Columbia medical billing experience. The position suits organized professionals comfortable with confidential information, computer systems, and detailed work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and review medical billing claims accurately and efficiently
- Apply diagnostic and procedure codes under billing guidelines
- Process electronic and paper claim submissions
- Review remittance advice for discrepancies, denials, and missing information
- Correct claims and support reconciliation activities
Requirements:
- Manage high work volumes while maintaining accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfort using computer tools and systems
- Organization, independence, and accountability
- Medical administration or transcription experience is an asset
