Become a key player at Wesley as an Asylum Seekers Assistance Program Worker. This full-time role focuses on supporting newcomers experiencing temporary accommodations. Wesley is a reputable non-profit dedicated to helping those experiencing poverty, housing challenges, and resettlement. In this fulfilling position, you'll work directly with asylum seekers to facilitate their transition into the community. You'll be responsible for organizing support services, conducting assessments, and ensuring essential needs are met. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare client files accurately
- Support clients during their temporary accommodations
- Connect clients with essential services
- Conduct needs assessments for housing
- Ensure rooms are ready before client arrival
- College Diploma or higher in relevant fields
- Minimum three years of experience with newcomers
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Fluency in one or more languages (Arabic, French, Spanish, Swahili)
- Valid Driver's License is an asset
