Elk Island Public Schools seeks Substitute Teachers for the 2026-27 school year. You can select days, grade levels, and schools across more than 40 urban and rural locations. The work offers diverse classroom experience while supporting dynamic school communities and student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach students across selected grade levels and schools
- Create safe, supported, and challenging classroom environments
- Use data to inform decisions and instruction
- Collaborate with school communities and colleagues
- Use feedback to improve teaching practice
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Education degree
- Eligibility for an Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Effective organization and classroom management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration, teamwork, and growth mindset
