Elevate your fitting skills with Walters Group as a Skilled Fitter in Princeton. Be part of a dedicated team that fabricates iconic steel structures. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication and assembly of structural steel at Walters Group. This position demands expertise in welding and a deep understanding of blueprints, as well as the capacity to mentor upcoming fitters. Ideal candidates will prioritize safety and excellence in their craft. Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and fit structural steel components
- Perform daily crane checks for safety purposes
- Lay out steel according to specified blueprints
- Operate various welding and cutting equipment
- Mentor less experienced colleagues in safe practices
- 5+ years of structural steel fitting/welding experience
- Completion of a welding apprenticeship is an asset
- Must have current CWB certification for FCAW or MCAW
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
