We want the best and are currently seeking a PLT/Foreman to join our team - based out of Grande Prairie, AB. *Responsibilities:** As a Journeyman Powerline Technician (PLT), you will perform activities related to the construction, maintenance, and repair of distribution infrastructure. * As a Foreman you will coordinate/supervise a team consisting of PLTs, Equipment Operators, Apprentices, Labourers, and Subcontractors. * Read and interpret electrical drawings and prints. * Recognize, assess, and control potentially hazardous situations in the work environment. Ensure that the work area is kept safe and maintained with good housekeeping practices. * Possess knowledge of industry standard safe working practices. Report near misses and investigate incidents. * Maintain positive relationships with our clients and field representatives. _*Requirements:*_* Possess a valid Journeyman Power Line Technician Certificate. * Proven experience in the powerline distribution construction standards and practices of at least one of the utility organizations in Alberta. * Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to optimize productivity, minimize downtime, and achieve project milestones. * Competent to monitor work progress and quality standards, conduct inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure that production meets or exceeds project requirements. * Excellent interpersonal, team participation, and communication skills * Must be able to comfortably perform physical tasks (climbing, lifting 50 pounds, pulling cable etc), and work in all weather conditions. * Willing to work away from home base as required * Class 5 drivers license. *Nice to haves:** Rubber glove certification and with strong background is an asset. * Transmission experience is an asset. * Class 1 or 3 license is an asset. _*Compensation:*_ RAHCAR Power Corp. offers a competitive compensation and benefits package Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60.00-$65.00 per hour Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Disability insurance * Employee assistance program * Life insurance * Vision care Schedule: * 10 hour shift * Overtime Ability to commute/relocate: * Grande Prairie, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Licence/Certification: * Journeyman Power Line Technician Certificate (required)* Class 1 or 3 License (preferred) Work Location: In person
