Teach full-day French Immersion Kindergarten at Good Shepherd School in Peace River, Alberta, supporting young learners through inclusive education practices.
This temporary, full-time, 1.0 FTE Maternelle Teacher assignment runs from November 1, 2026, through June 29, 2027. The successful candidate leads a Kindergarten homeroom and may receive additional K-6 duties based on their skill set. The school seeks understanding of inclusive education and diverse student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a full-day French Immersion Kindergarten homeroom
- Complete additional K-6 duties as assigned
- Support individualized programs, enrichment, modifications, and accommodations
- Collaborate and communicate with fellow colleagues
Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of inclusive education
- Understanding of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students
- Understanding of English as a second language programming
- Skills supporting individualized student learning needs
- Willingness to live in a rural community
