Join Providence Care Hospital as a part-time Unit Aide focused on seniors' mental health. Support daily living activities, ensuring patient comfort and safety every shift. As a key member of the inter-professional team, the Unit Aide plays a vital role in providing patient care at Providence Care Hospital. You will assist clients with daily activities and contribute to a safe environment for all. Your experience in healthcare will be integral to supporting geriatric, palliative, and rehabilitation populations. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with bathing, feeding, and dressing patients/clients
- Use proper transfer techniques and body mechanics
- Collaborate with team members to discuss care plans
- Follow inter-professional protocols for patient safety
- Document patient/client activities per policy
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Personal Support Worker Diploma/Certificate required
- One year experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Experience with geriatric and rehabilitation populations preferred
- Registration with Personal Support Workers Registry is a plus
