Pagemasters North America seeks a part-time copy editor/paginator for an American print newspaper client. The mid-senior-level role involves designing, proofreading, and editing print newspaper pages while meeting daily deadlines. Candidates need strong headline writing, journalism experience, and excellent communication skills. Experience editing sports content is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Copy edit print newspaper pages accurately
- Design and paginate newspaper pages
- Proofread pages before publication
- Write strong, accurate headlines and display copy
- Meet daily deadlines across assigned shifts
Requirements:
- Solid print newspaper editing experience
- Strong news judgment
- Journalism background
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Current residence anywhere within Canada
