Support a Dartmouth material handling shop with physical work, equipment operation, and building maintenance as an Industrial Shop Labourer. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This contract position suits candidates experienced with lift trucks and industrial environments. Daily work includes loading trucks, cleaning machines, delivering parts, and maintaining shop areas. Heavy equipment operation and a mechanical background are considered assets, while forklift certification is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily operations in the material handling shop
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment
- Steam clean heavy equipment and machines
- Deliver parts and maintain clean shop areas
- Help with general labour and building maintenance
Requirements:
- Previous lift truck operating experience is required
- Industrial environment experience is required
- Valid Class 5 licence with clean abstract
- Comfort with physical work and lifting 50 pounds
- Ability to follow instructions and monitor surroundings
