Program PLCs and troubleshoot industrial controls at McCain Foods' Fry Plant in Grand Falls, NB, supporting electrical and communication systems. This regular full-time position includes 12-hour shifts.
McCain Foods (Canada) is seeking a Controls Programmer for plant controls, instrumentation, and electrical systems. You will work with Allen-Bradley PLC hardware, Rockwell Automation software, industrial networks, VFDs, HMIs, and field devices. The position supports reliable plant operations through programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and troubleshoot plant PLCs, HMIs, and control systems
- Configure VFDs, networks, sensors, valves, and field devices
- Assist maintenance and production with technical issue resolution
- Support commissioning and site acceptance testing activities
- Communicate emergency repairs, actions taken, and support requirements
Requirements:
- Valid Industrial Electrician licence required
- Instrumentation Technician dual-trade certification strongly preferred
- Expert Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation programming knowledge
- Extensive industrial networking design and troubleshooting experience
- Knowledge of CSA code and Arc Flash Safety requirements
