Senior Financial Analyst Employment Type Permanent Location Oakville, Ontario Apply SHARE THIS JOB Job Description: Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join one of Canada's largest retail corporations. Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst is as follows but not limited to: Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly financial reporting and review process Analyze and present the results of key businesses to internal stakeholders including the analysis of significant variances year over year or compared to budget/forecast Exercise critical financial analysis to ensure the highest level of accuracy in the Company's financial reporting and compliance with IFRS Prepare supplementary information required by the external reporting team for the quarterly external reports Work with other accounting and business teams to continuously improve processes and look for efficiencies Provide guidance and coaching to other team members Leverage AI/Automation to optimize the operations of the Tax function Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team Mentor and coach team members TMGNY Job Requirements: Professional accounting designation 3+ years of relevant experience in industry or public accounting Proven ability to successfully lead other team members Solid financial and technical skills coupled with strong analytical ability with a natural curiosity to understand the reason behind transactions Strong problem solving, analytical and strategic thinking skills; able to see the "big picture" in a complex business environment Ability to work independently and in an ambiguous environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships Apply
