You will join our Machine Shop team in Cawston, BC, helping produce the components that go into specialty axle systems built for demanding real‑world applications.

Your mission as a Machine Operator is to craft precision components and keep production moving efficiently while protecting quality, safety, and teamwork.

The CNC MACHINE SHOP OPERATOR – EVENING SHIFT Role Summary
Your job is to produce quality components safely, accurately, and efficiently.
You will operate machinery, use inspection and measuring tools, read drawings, handle and finish parts, complete production paperwork, and help keep work moving through the Machine Shop.
Success means producing parts that meet specifications, keeping machines productive, completing work on time, and contributing to a safe and effective shop.

Use inspection and precision measuring tools to confirm parts meet requirements.
Read and follow drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
Handle, grind, inspect, and prepare components as required through the production process.
Complete job paperwork, production information, timesheets, and other required documentation.
Notice issues, communicate them early, troubleshoot where appropriate, and contribute ideas that make the shop safer and more efficient.
You do not need someone standing over your shoulder all evening telling you what comes next.
You are comfortable working with equipment, tools, materials, and manufactured parts.
Priorities and production requirements can change. Committed to quality. You want to become better at the job and help improve the process around you.
High school diploma or GED.
Previous manufacturing, machining, or related hands‑on experience.
Comfort using measuring and inspection tools.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work independently after training.
Willingness to learn KGI’s equipment, processes, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
