Prepare banquet cuisine as a full-time Second Cook at Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire, using cooking techniques and production skills. This contract role serves Calgary events.
The Banquet Second Cook assists culinary operations at Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire, a Fairmont property within Accor and franchised Marriott property. You will prepare plated meals and buffet service, organize mise en place, and support large-scale event production. The contract runs from September 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare plated meals and buffet food items
- Assist with mise en place for upcoming events
- Set up production for large-scale banquet events
- Maintain organized workstations, storage, and product rotation
- Collaborate during service and participate in briefings
Requirements:
- Minimum two years culinary experience in banquet production
- Experience with station preparation and ingredient preparation
- Working toward Journeyperson or Red Seal certification
- Culinary diploma considered an asset
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
