Join Russel Metals as a Remote Occupational Return to Work Specialist, leveraging your expertise to manage injury and illness claims effectively. This full-time role centers on improving occupational health processes across Canada. In this crucial role, you will support corporate health and safety, leveraging administrative skills alongside knowledge in health sciences. Collaborate with management and third-party providers to ensure efficient claims coordination, monitoring, and documentation. Ideal candidates will come from backgrounds such as Nursing, Biomechanics, or Disability Management, focusing on facilitating successful return-to-work efforts. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate occupational injury claims with third-party providers
- Review medical information and identify discrepancies
- Develop modified work and return-to-work plans
- Act as liaison between branches and management provider
- Maintain accurate and organized claims documentation
- Education in Nursing or Health Sciences preferred
- Experience in disability management or occupational health
- Strong knowledge of medical terms and workers' compensation
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Bilingualism in English and French is preferred
