AWG Northern Distribution is currently looking to hire and train Machine Operators to join our production team.
Location: Prince George
This is a detail oriented job with an expectation of producing high quality products. The position requires exposure to a variety of tasks, active learning, critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions. Prior glass cutting experience is an asset, but training will be provided.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance (training provided).
- Responsible for maintenance repair involving motors, controls, and other equipment.
- Investigate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring & testing equipment.
- Monitor equipment health and performance.
- Maintain continuity among department teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Inspect finished product to ensure conformance to design and specifications.
- Comply with operational and safety standards.
Experience
- Consistent work history.
- Familiarity with Industrial Machine Operation and Maintenance.
