Operate insulation blowing equipment and install loose-fill insulation on site with Empire Envelope in Calgary, Alberta. Maintain quality across residential construction projects.
Empire Envelope seeks a Loose-Fill Insulation Technician for primarily on-site work during regular business hours. You will prepare areas, follow work orders, and install materials according to project specifications. The role requires equipment operation, accurate records, safety procedures, and communication with supervisors, builders, homeowners, and trades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install loose-fill insulation in attics and designated areas
- Prepare work areas and review assigned work
- Operate insulation blowing machines, hoses, tools, and equipment
- Inspect completed work and perform corrective work
- Complete hazard assessments and wear required personal protective equipment
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of relevant installation experience
- Knowledge of loose-fill insulation techniques, materials, tools, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Class 5 driver's license with clean driver's abstract
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
