Jumpstart your IT career as a Data Centre Intern at Sun Life in Waterloo. This in-person role focuses on IT hardware management, documentation, and vendor coordination to support Data Centre operations. The Data Centre Intern role requires Reliability Status Clearance and is ideal for someone disciplined and detail-oriented. You will assist in the installation and organization of IT equipment, collect hard drives, and manage vendor engagements. This position will enhance your skills in a structured, professional environment where collaboration is valued. Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in IT hardware life-cycle management process
- Assist in the physical installation of IT equipment
- Organize IT hardware for installation or disposition
- Contact and schedule vendor pickups
- Ensure compliance with security protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Detail-oriented with strong accuracy commitment
- Basic knowledge of IT hardware and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
