Faction Bike Studio is looking for an engineering manager to join its product development team. We’d like to benefit from your know-how while we help you improve.
Supervise and manage the bike design team (product development, engineering, and interns).
Act as the technical reference for design, FEA calculations, test validation, compliance with industry standards, and production of technical drawings.
Support the planning and coordination of team activities related to ongoing and upcoming projects, in collaboration with project leaders.
Ensure coaching, training, and skills development for team members.
Validate the technical quality of deliverables.
Maintain and enhance the team’s technical knowledge.
Participate in project reviews and contribute to resolving technical and organizational challenges.
Collaborate with the Director of Operations to support the sales and business development teams during bidding and pre-project phases.
Support the continuous improvement of processes, tools, and methods.
Monitor key performance indicators and strategic priorities.
Collaborate with the R&D department in developing new engineering-related services.
Proven skills in project management and work organization.
~ Excellent communication skills (French, English), interpersonal relations, and problem-solving.
~10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, product development, or related fields.
~5 years of experience managing an engineering team.
~ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
~ Proficiency in SolidWorks (modeling, assemblies, technical drawings).
~ Strong command of finite element analysis (FEA) principles and tools.
~ Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and materials specific to the bicycle industry.
~ Passion for cycling, an asset.

Possibility of telework two days a week.
