Location:
Remote – Ottawa, ON (Candidates can live in Ottawa or within approximately 45 minutes outside the territory) Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM + Overtime
- depends they can be on call: time and halfWeekends: every 6 weeks Overtime paid daily after 8 hours (1.5x for first 4 OT hours, 2x after that) Company Overview: Our client is a leading supplier of food industry equipment and service, offering systems for: Cooking, food prep, refrigeration, bakery Full benefits (Dental/Vision) after 1 month ~ Wellness & scholarship programs ~ Pension plan with company match ~ Laptop, cell phone, gas & mileage included ~2–3 weeks vacation ~ Training reimbursement program 3–5 years of hands-on technical service, maintenance or repair experience within commercial kitchen equipment, commercial coffee machines/espresso machines, food-service equipment, appliance repair, electromechanical equipment or a closely related technical service environment. ~ Previous experience servicing commercial kitchen equipment is highly desirable. ~ Candidates with an Appliance Technician certification and strong experience working within a fast-paced appliance service or repair environment will also be considered. ~ Strong hands-on troubleshooting capabilities involving electrical, mechanical, plumbing and gas systems. ~ DEP in Electromechanics, or a diploma/certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical, Appliance Service/Repair or a related technical discipline, is an asset. ~ Equivalent hands-on technical experience will also be considered. ~ Comfortable working independently and travelling throughout an assigned service territory. ~ Strong customer-service, interpersonal and communication skills. ~ Fluent in English, both written and verbal. ~ Willing and able to travel for technical training as required. ~ Available for overtime and participation in the on-call rotation.
