CES Energy Solutions is a leading provider of technically advanced consumable chemical solutions throughout the life-cycle of the oilfield ( CES provides products to the Drilling Fluids, Production Chemicals, Stimulation and Fracturing industries. The CES Energy Solutions lab is the newest and one of the best equipped labs in the industry. We are located in Calgary, AB. Our lab is equipped with a wide range of equipment including: NMR, FTIR, GCMS, PSD, GCFID, HPLC, XRD, XRF and SEM. We also have extensive equipment to support our products lines for scale, paraffin, H2S scavengers and corrosion. Working in a fast-paced dynamic environment, the duties of the Chemist include: Service work (sampling and sample preparation, measuring and recording fluid parameters, analyzing results, data reporting, investigation and troubleshooting, multi-tasking). Technical support to operations, engineering and sales teams. Product Development (evaluate new technology, product formulation, method development). New instrument setup, maintenance and calibration. On-call may be required. The right candidate will have a proven track record encompassing the following qualifications and skills: Bachelor's degree in chemistry, petrochemical or related major is required. Lab and/or field technical experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Experience in oilfield corrosion or acidizing. 1+ years' experience in the oil and gas industry. Valid driver's license. Strong chemical background. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
